ABOUT THE ARTIST & GALLERY

Teresa Grasby is a Calgary fine artist whose bold, vibrant paintings bring the majesty of Western Canada to life on canvas. Her subjects span the breathtaking peaks, turquoise lakes, rushing rivers, and thundering waterfalls of the Rocky Mountains, Banff and Kootenay National Parks, and Kananaskis Country — alongside expressive figurative work, lush florals, and spirited animal studies.

Over decades of dedicated practice, Teresa has honed her skills across multiple art mediums and subjects — from watercolour and acrylic to large-scale oil paintings alive with rich colour harmony, bold composition, and the unexpected shimmer of metallic hues. This depth of skill enables her to teach a multitude of painting and drawing workshops at her art school, Grasby Art Studio, where she has mentored over 5,000 students since 2011.

The Grasby Art Cellar is the gallery at Grasby Art Studio, located at 6520 Bowness Road NW, Calgary. The gallery hosts a stunning collection of original artwork — much of it created while Teresa teaches her diverse range of workshops — alongside paintings by local guest artists. Every piece is available for purchase online with insured shipping across Canada and worldwide.

Teresa's work has been featured in Avenue Magazine, the Calgary Journal, and the Spectator Tribune. Step inside the Art Cellar — in person or online — and find the painting that speaks to you.

What Our Collectors Say

More Than Just a Painting

★★★★★
Canoes at Moraine Lake II by Teresa Grasby displayed in a luxury bedroom with cityscape view

"Canoes at Moraine Lake II" — now in its forever home

It didn't just remind me of Moraine Lake — it transported me back there.

Purchasing this painting was far more than buying a piece of art — it was bringing a deeply personal memory into our home. My husband and I celebrated our 37th anniversary at Moraine Lake, and Teresa's work captures that feeling beautifully. The texture and movement — it almost feels like the light shimmers across the canvas.

This was my very first time purchasing original art, and the experience could not have been better. The painting arrived to the U.S. from Canada carefully packaged, in perfect condition, and ready to hang. 10/10 in every way!
